The fourth My Hero Academia film—intimidatingly titled My Hero Academia: You’re Next—opens in Japan on August 2, 2024, and with it comes a new villain in the appropriately named Dark Might. As his moniker implies, he seems to be a villainous version of All Might, even sharing Kenta Miyake as his voice actor.
You can see him for the first time in the new teaser trailer:
Meanwhile, My Hero Academia season 7—which is set around the same time as the film’s original story—is set to kick off in full on May 4. The anime returned to the airwaves on April 6 with My Hero Academia: Memories, a four-episode series of recaps.
Based on the hit Shonen Jump manga by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes the series:
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
