The first season of Science SARU’s DAN DA DAN anime may be over, but fear not, because more is on the way. DAN DA DAN Season 2 plans have officially been announced, with the continuation lined up for a July 2025 premiere.
Crunchyroll already confirmed plans to stream the new season as it airs. Check out the teaser video and visual below.

It may be a while before we learn more, but DAN DA DAN does have a stage event planned for this weekend’s Jump Festa.
DAN DA DAN is being made at Science SARU, with Fuga Yamashiro, an assistant director for Tatami Time Machine Blues, helming the project as director. The scripts are being both penned and supervised by Hiroshi Seko, whose credits include Attack on Titan The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chainsaw Man.
VIZ Media publishes the original manga by Yukinobu Tatsu as Dandadan and gave this description for the first volume:
DAN DA DAN Plot
Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school’s UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames “Okarun” because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong—Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love…and oddly horny aliens and spirits?
