Voice actor Chie Nakamura is known for a variety of roles, but the most outstanding for many will likely be that of Sakura in the Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS anime. According to Japanese talent agency Axl One, Nakamura will be suspending her voice acting activities indefinitely due to her health condition, which involves a recent diagnosis of ulcerative colitis.
Nakamura received the positive results for the inflammatory bowel disease after undergoing tests for her poor health over the course of the last month. There is no cure for ulcerative colitis, which leads to inflammation and ulcers in the large intestine and colon.
Beyond Sakura, Nakamura’s many notable roles include Matsumae in Tokyo Ghoul, Mia Fey in Ace Attorney, Sophitia in SoulCalibur and more. We wish her the best in reducing symptoms and managing her condition.
