Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! Compilation Screenings Include New Manga

People in Japan who watch the Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! compilation screenings will be treated to more than just added footage in the anime. Between December 13 and 19, while supplies last, audiences members will receive a special book.

The book has a new short manga and illustration from original creator Yuu Toyota. The new manga is four pages long, and is a brand-new story penned by Toyota herself. The illustration is of main characters Adachi and Kurosawa.

The compilation screening for Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! will concentrate on Adachi and Kurosawa’s relationship, and will include some new audio from voice actors Chiaki Kobayashi and Ryota Suzuki. Yoshiko Okuda, the director for the anime series, is also helming this project as director.

Toyota previously gave an interview to Otaku USA, which you can read in full here. Talking about the anime adaptation of her work, she commented, “I was really happy because getting my manga adapted into an animated series has been a dream of mine since before I became a manga artist. I was so touched to see the pictures actually moving, with voices added, and especially to realize anew that this was created thanks to the hard work of many people. I had the opportunity to check all the scripts for the anime and went to the recording studio three times. Everyone involved in the anime listened intently to the opinions of those of us involved with the original manga. We had many discussions and passionately worked together to create an anime.”

Square Enix Manga & Books publishes the original manga and gave this description for the plot:
