Chainsaw Man Manga Inspires Novel Adaptation
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga is very rooted in its visuals, but its story is plenty buckwild on its own. Now that story will soon be told in prose form, with the official account for Shueisha’s Jump J-Books imprint announcing plans for a novel adaptation.
Titled Chainsaw Man: Buddy Stories, the novel by author Sakaku Hishikawa will hit shelves in Japan on November 4. Three stories not featured in the manga will be the centerpiece of the novel, including buddy tales about Power and Denji, Kishibe and Quanxi as partners, and a story set around the first time Himeno and Aki met.
This should whet fans’ appetites while everyone waits for the second part of Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga and the upcoming anime adaptation at MAPPA.
