Catch a Ride at the New Godzilla Park Ride Next Month

The Japanese amusement park Seibu-en is going to be reopening May 19, and it will have a few changes. You’ll be able to stroll down a street designed to look like a bunch of stores from the Showa Era (1926-1989). And at the end of the street, there’s going to be a Godzilla ride.

Not a lot of details have been released, but we do know that the ride is titled “Godzilla the Ride: Great Kaiju Decisive Dominance Battle,” and it involves both Godzilla and King Ghidorah. There are plenty of teasers for the ride, with Seibu-en vowing that this experience will “sweep you up in a whirlpool of transcendental excitement” and it “never stops to give you a chance to catch your breath.”

We also know that the ride is going to have CG visuals, and that these were done by Takashi Yamazaki, who directed Lupin III: The First and Stand by Me Doraemon.
