Pictured: The Scream Coffin!
Hanako-san is a Japanese urban legend about a girl who haunts restrooms at school. The Lagunasia theme park in Japan has tapped into this legend with their new creation: Horror! Hanako-san of the Toilet.
According to SoraNews24, this is an aspect of the theme park’s With Corona Horror Fest 2020 event, which also includes a Scream Coffin, pictured at the top of the article.
Even though it’s named after Coronavirus, the horror spectacles are meant to be safe and Lagunasia is working with horror entertainment company Kowagarasetai to take precautions. You have to enter Horror! Hanako-san of the Toilet by yourself for social distancing reasons, and after you leave, the area will be scrubbed down before the next person is permitted. While it’s done for the sake of limiting the spread of germs, being alone in the room might have its own beneficial effect for creepiness.
With Corona Horror Fest 2020 will be available for customers from October 3 to December 6.
