It’s not often that I simply point to an article elsewhere with pure enthusiasm, but this one—from the content to the layout—is really something special.
Over at Boing Boing, they’ve got a unique look at Sega’s Yakuza 3 through the careful eyes of real yakuza. This is all thanks to Jake Adelstein, whose book Tokyo Vice details his stint as a crime beat reporter in Japan.
That gig landed him on both sides of the yakuza’s favor, and it’s through these connections that he got a couple high-ranking gangsters to sit down and give Yakuza 3 a spin.
