Black Butler -Public School Arc- Trailer Samples Theme Songs

Black Butler -Public School Arc-

A new trailer is out for the Black Butler -Public School Arc- anime thanks to the past weekend’s AnimeJapan 2024 festivities. This one takes some time to sample the opening and ending theme songs, with the former being -otoha- on “Kyoshinsha no Parade -The Parade of Battlers-” and the latter being SID on “Shokuzai” (“Atonement”).

Check it out along with more footage as we barrel toward the anime’s April 13 premiere.

Following the first seasons in 2008 and 2010, the last TV anime for the Black Butler series was 2014’s Black Butler: Book of Circus, with the Black Butler: Book of Murder OVA landing in the same year. 2017 then saw the series head to the big screen with the Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic anime film in 2017.

Black Butler -Public School Arc- is being directed by Kenjiro Okada (March comes in like a lion), with Hiroyuki Yoshino handling series composition and Yumi Shimizu on character designs for the CloverWorks production.

Here’s how Aniplex describes the series, which will stream as part of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2024 lineup:

Butler Sebastian Michaelis works with his 13-year-old master, the earl Ciel Phantomhive, to do the dirty work of “the Queen’s guard dog” in nineteenth century England’s gritty underworld.

One day, Ciel receives a letter from Queen Victoria telling him that several students at Weston College, one of England’s top public schools, have seemingly disappeared… including a relative of hers named Derrick. And so, Sebastian and Ciel infiltrate Weston College to get to the bottom of the matter. What truly happened to these students?
