Attack on Titan Shoes Take Inspiration from Doomsday Titan

If the Titans in Attack on Titan wore anything, they might want to wear these new high heeled shoes from Japanese company Mayla. The shoes (which, as you might guess, are limited edition) are inspired by the Doomsday Titan from Attack on Titan.

The shoes are partly made from velvet. And if you look closely at the heels, you can see a Titan’s backbone. Even the box it comes in is meant to be fancy, with a Doomsday Titan outline on the outside of the box, and panels from the manga on the inside.

If Attack on Titan shoes seem familiar, that’s because this isn’t the first time that Mayla has released foot wear inspired by the franchise. Back in 2022 Mayla offered six different Attack on Titan shoes. But instead of being designed after the Titans, they were designed after the characters Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Erwin, and Hange.

You can buy a pair of the Doomsday Titan high heels here for 29,700 yen, which is about $198. The preorder lasts until midnight on August 18.

Kodansha USA Publishing releases the original Attack on Titan manga by Hajime Isayama and gave this description for its story:

Attack on Titan Plot

A century ago, the grotesque giants known as Titans appeared and consumed all but a few thousand humans. The survivors took refuge behind giant walls. Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond Wall Maria. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when the Titans return and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction…

Attack on Titan is the award-winning and New York Times-bestselling series that is the manga hit of the decade! Spawning the monster hit anime TV series of the same name, Attack on Titan has become a pop culture sensation.
