The light novel series Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World (or Ningen Fushin no Bōkensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Yō Desu in Japanese) is getting an anime adaptation that will debut on January 10. Ahead of this, a trailer has dropped. In it you can hear the opening theme song “Glorious World” being performed by Shunichi Toki.
You don’t hear it in the trailer, but the ending theme song is “Never Fear” performed by Mao Abe.
Here is what we know about the cast: Yūsuke Kobayashi plays Nick, Sayumi Watabe plays Tiana, Sayaka Kikuchi plays Curran, Shunichi Toki plays Zem, Mikako Komatsu plays Kizuna, and Kaori Ishihara plays Agate.
Itsuki Imazaki of Hensuki and Magical Somera-chan is helming the anime as the director. The music is composed by Ryō Takahashi, who has worked on Arifureta – From Commonplace to World’s Strongest and Sing a Bit of Harmony. The jobs of character designer and chief animation director are both being done by Hiroo Nagao.
In addition to this, Hiroki Nozawa is the prop designer, Naoto Kondō is the color designer, Seo Jungho is the art director, Ryousuke Naya is the sound director, Hideto Nakahara took charge in art setting, and Kazuto Horikawa worked as the assistant director, director of photography, and in editing.
The original light novels and the manga adaptations are published by Yen Press. It gave this description for the series:
“Veteran adventurer Nick’s life is falling apart. Despite all the knowledge and expertise he’s devoted to his adventuring party, his respected leader kicked him out, his girlfriend dumped him, and his teammates shamelessly accused him of embezzlement. Tired, heartbroken, and looking for a drink, Nick chances upon a few kindred spirits who are jaded as he is. Together, these disillusioned adventurers form an unstoppable team out to save their bleak, depressing world!”
