AnimEigo Reveals Black Jack, Vampire Princess Miyu, More Retro Titles for Home Video

AnimEigo revealed that it’s licensed four more retro anime titles! Let’s take a look at the anime involved and the teaser trailers that have dropped for each.

First up is Black Jack, adapted from the Osamu Tezuka manga of the same name. Both of its OVAs are going to be together on a two-disc set in HD, and it will include an English dub. A release date was not revealed.

Next up is Romeo’s Blue Skies, sometimes known as Romeo and the Black Brothers. Never before has a whole World Masterpiece Theater anime been released on home video in America. You’ll be able to pick up a copy with all 33 episodes in June.

Then there’s Vampire Princess Miyu, a four-episode OVA that came out in the late 80s. It has not one, but two English dubs! Specifically, it’ll have the Manga UK English dub plus AnimEigo’s dub. AnimEigo has background with this anime, as it originally brought it out for home video on VHS, LaserDisc, and DVD. Its release date hasn’t been decided yet.

Last but not least of the title reveals is 1968’s Sasuke. It’ll be available in both subbed and dubbed forms, and a three-disc Blu-ray Disc set will contain the whole series. Like with Black Jack and Vampire Princess Miyu, we don’t yet know when this will become available. The company didn’t share a trailer for this title.

There is additionally more information on Looking for the Full Moon and Nobody’s Boy Remi, two titles that AnimEigo had revealed prior to this. Looking for the Full Moon is going to be split in two sets: the first is scheduled to come out in August, and the second’s release still has to be unveiled.

Nobody’s Boy Remi in its entirety is scheduled to hit stores on May 11. It will offer a French dub, though not an English one.
