A (Different) Tokyo Arcade Breaks Record For Most Crane Games

Last year the Tokyo arcade Taito Station Fuchi Kururu won the Guinness World Record for having the most crane games in a single place, with an astonishing 454 crane games in their establishment. But 2021 is a new year, and Taito Station Fuchi Kururu already has competition — the Sega Shinjuku Kabukicho arcade in Tokyo now has 477 crane games.

That means that the Sega Shinjuku Kabukicho arcade is the new winner, and they have the Guinness World Record. Their crane games contain everything from anime figurines to food to plushies.

But 477 really isn’t that much higher than 454, so maybe we’ll see some more records get broken as arcades vie for the top spot with crane games.
