Dragon Ball DAIMA got its start in October and now the end is in sight, as the official website announced that the last episode will screen on February 28. Toei Animation shared a “Dragon Ball DAIMA” Climax Trailer for fans, though keep in mind that if you haven’t seen the show though episode 17 yet (the episode that dropped today), some stuff will get spoiled for you. However, if there are no spoiler worries, go ahead and check it out.
“Dragon Ball DAIMA” Climax Trailer
Crunchyroll uploads the new episodes (in Japanese with subtitles) each Friday at 8:45 AM PST.
The new series marks 40 years since the launch of the Dragon Ball franchise. Original creator Akira Toriyama was “deeply involved beyond his usual capacity” in working on the DAIMA series, though his unexpected and untimely death last year does leave questions about the future of the franchise.
Dragon Ball series executive producer Akio Iyoku has talked about Toriyama’s involvement with the latest anime before his death, saying, “The Demon Realm [was done by] Toriyama. He didn’t just do the background; he took a lot of the settings and put them on paper.” Toriyama created the Demon Realm from the ground up. Iyoku also said about Glorio’s spacecraft, “Toriyama-sensei, he was very particular when it came to mechs. He actually thought about how they would function, how they’d move. We got small mechs like this, all the way to really large ones that are all going to show up in the show.”
Crunchyroll is offering the series in both subbed and dubbed versions, and gave this description for Dragon Ball DAIMA:
Dragon Ball DAIMA Plot
