Bluebird, Love Live! Franchise’s Next Dramatic Project, Revealed

Bluebird, Love Live! Franchise’s Next Dramatic Project, RevealedThe Love Live! School Idol Project Series has gone through many, many iterations, from the original anime series in 2013 to last year’s Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Movie.

Now there’s a new project on the way. Called Bluebird, it was teased via a short video and piece of key art this weekend.

Few details so far, but it looks like Bluebird will take on a more dramatic tone than many of the franchise’s other anime series and games. What do you think of the look and tone of Bluebird?

The first Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Movie was released last September, with part two of the trilogy set for this year.

Here’s how the official website describes Nijigasaki:

Nijigasaki High School, located on the island of Odaiba in Tokyo, is popular for its variety of class subjects and the freedom given to students. Second-year student Yu Takasaki has been turned on to the charms of school idols, so she knocks on the door of the “School Idol Club” with her old friend Ayumu Uehara. Sometimes friends, sometimes rivals, the members of this club each bring their own thoughts and motivations to their lives. “If I can cheer on people who’re pursuing their dreams…” “The first School Idol Project featuring twelve girls (plus one) where everyone comes together to make dreams come true.” “Let my sound reach you!” It’s time to chase after your dreams again!
