Here’s the Cast and Crew of Magical Girl Raising Project Restart

Today there was a big reveal on the actors and crew of the upcoming anime Magical Girl Raising Project Restart.

Looking toward the announced cast, Nao Tōyama plays Snow White, Yoshino Nanjo plays Pfle, Reina Kondo plays Shadow Gale, Fairouz Ai plays Masked Wonder, Honoka Inoue plays Pechka, Jenya plays Nonako Miyokata, M.A.O plays Rionetta, Mariya Ise plays Clantail, Maaya Uchida plays Magical Daisy, Hime Sawada plays Nokko-chan, Akari Kito plays @Meow-Meow, Sayumi Suzushiro plays Genopsyko Yumenoshima, Ami Koshimizu plays Akane, Shiori Mikami plays Melville, Maria Naganawa plays Cherna Mouse, Miyu Tomita plays Detec Bell, Aoi Yuki plays Lapis Lazuline, and Megumi Han plays Keek.

Magical Girl Raising Project director Hiroyuki Hashimoto is back to direct Magical Girl Raising Project Restart. Likewise, Takao Yoshioka, the scriptwriter for the original series, is also penning the scripts for Restart. Credit for character design goes to Masako Itou, using designs originated by Maruino.

It’s teased that we can expect some initiatives to go with the new episodes. However, we’re going to have to wait before we learn what those are.

The light novel Magical Girl Raising Project, Vol. 2: Restart I by Asari Endou begins the Restart arc. Yen Press, which publishes it in America, gave this description for the volume:

The hit social network game “The Magical Girl Raising Project” selects one out of every tens of thousands of players to become a real life magical girl. The lucky chosen girls gain magic powers as well as incredibly good fortune, and spend their days blissfully. But one day, an absolute announcement declares that the number of magical girls has risen too high and must be cut down to half. Sixteen young maidens are thrust into a merciless, deadly contest to survive…but how many will come out the other side?
