My Hero Academia Casts Hiroshi Kamiya as Young All For One

A new cast member is getting in on the My Hero Academia anime to fill in the younger shoes of an iconic villain. Hiroshi Kamiya (Levi in Attack on Titan) has been announced as the voice behind a young version of All For One. You can see the aged-down character design above.

Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga ended on August 5, 2024. The anime film My Hero Academia: You’re Next is coming to North American cinemas on October 11, and the seventh TV anime is currently airing. 

My Hero Academia is being made at BONES, with Naomi Nakayama helming the project as director. Kenji Nagasaki, the series director, is going to be the Chief Director this time around. Yusuke Kuroda is back to write the scripts, and credit for character design goes to Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima.

VIZ Media publishes the original manga by Kohei Horikoshi and gave this description for the first volume:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
