A new trailer made its way online for the The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime, which is set to premiere in Japan on July 9. Ahead of that, the first three episodes will premiere at Anime Expo on July 4, and even further ahead of that we can all preview the anime’s theme songs thanks to a new trailer.
The opening theme song will have Lezel performing “Mikansei Rendezvous,” and the ending theme song will have voice cast members Yuki Ono and Mai Nakahara in character performing “Itsumo Futari ga Ii ne.” You can check out a preview in the new video below.
The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime is being directed by Akiyo Ohashi (The Stranger by the Shore), with Yuniko Ayana (given) on series composition, Haruko Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) on character designs and MAYUKO (Ranking of Kings) handling music for the BONES production.
Original author Cocoa Fujiwara, who also created Inu x Boku SS, passed away in 2015.
