The manga by Yudetamago will spring back to life again with the added help of actor/comedian Akira Kawashima—one part of comedy duo Kirin—who is lined up to voice Neptune King/Big the Budo.

Akira Sato is lined up to direct the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Shiso-hen (Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Founder Story) anime, with Makoto Fukami providing series composition, Hirotaka Marufuji on character designs and Yasuharu Takanashi composing the music for the Production I.G project.
As previously reported, Mamoru Miyano is in the lead role of Kinnikuman.
Yudetamago’s original Kinnikuman manga first started its run in 1979, and has graced the pages of magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump and Weekly Playboy. Over 83 volumes have been released in Japan, and its first TV anime kicked off back in 1983.
