The Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc anime is officially coming back for more! A special event was held over the weekend, taking the opportunity to reveal season 3 plans. The new season is currently in the works, but there’s no release date in place at the time of this writing.
A new character song has also been promised, which continues a tradition that has been going strong since the first Kinnikuman anime adaptation in the 80s. While we wait for more information on that and Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc season 3, you can see the announcement visual below.
Akira Sato directed the previous seasons of the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc (Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Shiso-hen) anime, with Makoto Fukami providing series composition, Hirotaka Marufuji on character designs and Yasuharu Takanashi composing the music for the Production I.G project. Mamoru Miyano is in the lead role of Kinnikuman.
Yudetamago’s original Kinnikuman manga first started its run in 1979, and has graced the pages of magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump and Weekly Playboy. Over 83 volumes have been released in Japan, and its first TV anime kicked off back in 1983.
