Prior to its April 13 premiere, the Whisper Me a Love Song anime revealed its theme songs back in March. Now that the series is well underway, we have another look at the opening theme, “Follow Your Arrows,” which is performed by in-anime band SSGIRLS, with Yori Asanagi’s singing VA Kana Sasakura on vocals.
Check out the fun, sakura-filled music video for another chance to enjoy the excellent opening theme below.
The anime is being made at Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts, with Akira Mano of Ghost Hunt helming the project as director. The person overseeing series scripts is Hiroki Uchida, known for working on Requiem of the Rose King, and The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest. The music is composed by both Hiroshi Sasaki and Wataru Maeguchi. Credit for character design goes to Minami Yoshida, who is known for working on Mysteria Friends.
Whisper Me a Love Song started out as a manga by Eku Takeshima. Kodansha USA is publishing it in America, and gave this description for the plot:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means…
