Today was POKÉMON DAY! That made it the perfect day for a new Pokémon Direct presentation.
The Pokémon Company International is expanding upon the success of 2022’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus with a new entry in the series titled Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This time around the spinoff will take players on a new adventure set in Lumiose City—an area of the Kalos region—but we’ll have to wait until sometime in 2025 to play it.
Beyond that, we just know it’s coming to Switch, so we’ll have to see if there’s also a new Switch system to go along with it by the time it arrives. Check out the announcement video below.
Other than the new Legends game, there will be a collaboration between Pokémon GO and the new Pokémon Horizons anime series that includes the ability to catch Captain Pikachu with a new move, Volt Tackle. You’ll also get to see Liko and Roy in the game through a filter.
Pokémon Unite will be adding Falinks, Ceruledge and Miraidon.
There’s also a new Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app that’s on the way to iOS and Android this year.
