A new anime film is officially on the way for the long-running Crayon Shin-chan series. The 2024 feature has been revealed as Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyouryuu Nikki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), as teased in the visual below.
The new film is being directed by Shinobu Sasaki, with moral on the script for what will be the 31st film in the series. The story, as you might have guessed, follows Shinnosuke and his friends as they befriend a little dino.
Stay tuned for more on this one as further details are announced. It follows the act of the first 3DCG film in the series, Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan the Movie Chonoryoku Dai Kessen: Tobetobe Temakizushi, which opened back in August.
The Crayon Shin-chan manga first launched back in 1990 and ran in its original form until author Yoshito Usui passed away in 2009. Members of the author’s team launched New Crayon Shin-chan in 2010 and it’s still ongoing. The TV anime has been running since 1992 and currently has over 1000 episodes.
