The anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (a.k.a. Sōsō no Frieren in Japanese) has just debuted, and the people behind the project released both the creditless opening theme song “Yūsha” (translated as “Hero”) being performed by YOASOBI, as well as an official amv with footage from the show.

Meanwhile, the ending theme song is titled “Anytime Anywhere” and performed by milet.
The anime is being made at the famous studio Madhouse, with Keiichirō Saitō of Bocchi the Rock! helming the project as director. The person in charge of series scripts is Tomohiro Suzuki, who has also worked on One-Punch Man, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept., and Boogiepop and Others. The music is being composed by Evan Call, who is known for working on Violet Evergarden and Josee, The Tiger and the Fish.
Atsumi Tanezaki plays Frieren, Nobuhiko Okamoto plays Himmel, Hiroki Touchi plays Heiter, Yōji Ueda plays Eisen, Kana Ichinose plays Fern, Chiaki Kobayashi plays Stark, Atsuko Tanaka plays Flamme, and Hiroki Yasumoto plays Qua.
VIZ Media is publishing the original manga by Tanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, and gave this description for it:
The adventure is over but life goes on for an elf mage just beginning to learn what living is all about. Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But Frieren will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to understand what life means to the people around her? Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality.
