The English dub for JUJUTSU KAISEN becomes available on Crunchyroll today, but that’s not the only dub for a fan-favorite show that’s rolling out. Tomorrow, July 21, the English dub of Rent-a-Girlfriend season 3 will also become available on the streaming site.
Crunchyroll released information on the dub team. In terms of actors, Aleks Le plays Kazuya, Lizzie Freeman plays Chizuru, Lisette Monique Diaz plays Mini, Nicolas Roye plays Kibe, Landon McDonald plays Kuri, Sean Letourneau plays Teppei, and Sarah Williams plays Ruka.
Jerry Jewell is working as the director for the dub, and it’s being produced by Colleen Clinkenbeard. The task of script writing is being handled by Leah Clark, Andrew Tipps is working as the mixer, and Jameson Outlaw is the engineer.
The anime was originally made at TMS Entertainment, with Kazuomi Koga of GANBARE DOUKICHAN helming the project as director. Credit for series composition goes to Mitsutaka Hirota, who is known for working on Anime-Gataris. The character design was done by Kanna Hirayama, who has also worked on Selection Project.
Crunchyroll offered this trailer of season 3 with their announcement, though the dialogue is in Japanese, not English.
Rent-a-Girlfriend started out as a manga series. Crunchyroll gave this description for the story’s plot:
Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month. “Ugh… Damn it. I never want to go through that again.”
Completely spiteful, Kazuya uses a certain method to date a girl. He goes to their meeting place and suddenly hears, “You’re Kazuya-kun, right?” A beautiful girl brushing her long, black hair behind her ear was there, smiling at him. Her name was Mizuhara Chizuru.
