Our hero can’t remember his name, but he remembers he was just an average guy before this. Now reincarnated as a sword (as the title suggests), he waits for a champion to find him. He finds Fran: a catgirl slave with a warrior spirit. Together, with him as her mentor, the two set out for adventure.
The Eminence in Shadow
Why do we love isekai so much? Probably because it lets us imagine ourselves as a central figure in a fantastical world. At least, that’s how it is for Cid, the star of The Eminence in Shadow. He longs to be a manipulative puppetmaster, pulling the strings from the shadows. When he’s reincarnated into a fantasy world, he sets that life up for himself.
What Cid doesn’t realize is that it’s all true. While he plays at leading a secret organization keeping the world safe… that’s actually what he’s doing. What’s really going on here? And what will happen when he finds out his games aren’t games anymore?
