Reincarnated as a Sword season 2 was first announced back in 2022, and now a premiere window is finally in place. During NBC Universal’s Anime Expo 2025 panel, it was revealed that the second season adapting Yuu Tanaka and LLO’s light novel series will premiere in fall 2026.
HIDIVE announced plans to stream the series as it airs and revealed the new visual below.
Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail) directed the first season, with Takahiro Nagano on scripts and Atsuki Saito adapting character designs for the C2C production.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the light novels and manga adaptation in English, and HIDIVE streams the Reincarnated as a Sword TV anime. Here’s the official synopsis:
Some isekai protagonists are reincarnated as powerful warriors or skilled wizards, but our protagonist was reborn in another life as a sentient sword! He’s taken up by Fran, a desperate girl fleeing evil-doers intent on selling her into slavery. With her new weapon’s help and guidance, she’s able to strike down her captors and secure her freedom.
