Anime may not be at the Oscars this year, but we still have the r/anime awards, a.k.a. the Reddit Anime Awards. The winners have been announced, and each category has two possible winners, because official jurors and the public were each able to vote. There is only one category where the official jurors and the public both agreed on the same winner, and that’s that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation should win for Best Adventure.
Let’s look at the top categories. For Anime of the Year, the jury went for Sonny Boy, and the public once again went for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (you’ll see a lot of this pattern). In Movie of the Year, the jury wanted Pompo: The Cinéphile, and the public wanted Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train.
