Japanese fans of Crayon Shin-chan are going to have to wait longer to see the next movie. The twenty-ninth film in the franchise, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Nazo Meki! Hana no Tenkasu Gakuen (translated as Crayon Shin-chan the Movie – Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkazu Academy) was supposed to come out tomorrow. Likewise, the cast and staff were going to do a public greeting with people this Saturday.
However, COVID numbers are climbing in Japan, and the staff decided it just wasn’t worth the risk. At this same time, multiple Japanese prefectures are asking the national government to declare another state of emergency. A new date for the movie’s release has not yet been chosen.
