The manga Kentō Ankoku Den Cestvs and Kendo Shitō Den Cestvs are being adapted into the anime Cestvs: The Roman Fighter, which will debut on Japanese TV at 12:55 AM April 15. The anime’s first full promotional trailer has been released, and it includes a snippet of the opening song “Endeavor” by Dragon Ash and more information on the cast and crew.
Rikiya Koyama plays Zafar, Kensho Ono plays Ruska, Hiroki Touchi plays Demitrius, Yūto Uemura plays Emperor Nero, Kikuko Inoue plays Nero’s mother Agrippina, Aya Endo plays Sabina, Ryota Takeuchi plays Emden, Sanae Kobayashi plays Roxanne, and Akio Ohtsuka is the Narrator.
Kazuya Monma is series director, Seiki Hayashi is CG director, and Toshifumi Kawase and Kouji Miura are scriptwriters.
The series follows a slave boy in ancient Rome who learns how to box.
