MAPPA has been busy working on RE-MAIN, an original anime about a high schooler named Minato who joins the water polo team. It’s scheduled to debut this year, though a release date has not yet been given.
Masafumi Nishida, who worked as a scriptwriter for Tiger and Bunny, will be taking on many roles for the project. Along with being the co-creator, writing every episode and being chief director, he will be the audio director and series script supervisor.
Some of the cast has also been revealed. Yūto Uemura plays lead Minato, Kōtarō Nishiyama plays Eitarō Oka, Subaru Kimura plays Jō Jōjima, and Lynn plays Chinu Kawakubo.
