Gege Akutami’s popular Jujutsu Kaisen manga—which runs in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump—has hit another milestone in its successful print run. The latest has it leaping past 36 million copies in print, covering both physical printings and copies sold digitally. That number is looking to rise even higher soon, because volume 15 is scheduled to hit shelves in Japan on March 4.
To put this in perspective, it was just around three weeks ago that the series celebrated surpassing 30 million copies in print. In just that short amount of time, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga managed to push out another six million. In its three years of existence, Jujutsu Kaisen has already passed up classics like Sailor Moon, Shaman King, and Dr. Slump with these impressive numbers.

Itadori Yuuji is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Gojou Satoru, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
