2019’s BEM TV anime—which itself was a reboot of ’60s series Humanoid Monster BEM—is set to continue on the big screen. A new trailer and visual have arrived for BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~, coming to theaters in Japan on October 2.
Production I.G handled the animation for the film, with Hiroshi Ikehata directing the tale set two years after the events of the TV series. Check out the new promo and key visual below.
Funimation streamed the series as it aired. Here’s their synopsis:
Libra City is a sprawling metropolis whose districts split the rich and the poor. Hiding among the populace are three humanoid monsters—Bem, Bela, and Belo—who protect humanity and hope to one day become humans themselves. However, when a Mysterious Lady threatens their way of life, Bem, Bela, and Belo are pulled into a plot unlike anything they’ve ever known.
