Takako Shimura‘s melancholy romance manga Happy-Go-Lucky Days has been adapted into an anime film written and directed by Takuya Sato (Steins;Gate), and it was originally supposed to hit theaters in Japan way back on May 8. As has been the case with many theatrical outings, that release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but now it finally has a new date on the horizon.

The Happy-Go-Lucky Days anime film will now open on October 23, and the announcement even had original author Takako Shimura whipping up a new visual to celebrate. Check it out below along with one of the previous trailers for a refresher.
