Tokyo Subway Station Celebrates Manga with Sprawling Mural

We recently posted about a giant promotional manga magazine that combines Shueisha’s Shonen Jump with Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine to create a 2,264-page monstrosity (pictured right) with a ton of popular series represented. As cool as that wiiiiiide mag may be, there’s an even better way to illustrate what happens when two of Japan’s biggest publisher’s join forces: A mural!

That’s exactly what was put in place in Tokyo’s Shibuya Station, which is a massive complex suited for an equally massive mural. With the stars of Jump and Shonen Magazine both represented, it’s no surprise it took a whopping 30 meters, or 98 feet, to capture the majesty of it all.
