March 6, 2019 Hachi-nantte, Sore wa Nai Desho! (An Eighth Son? That’s Can’t Be Right!), a popular series of light novels, is getting animeified.
The series, which will debut in 2020, is about Ichinomiya Shingo, a 25-year-old office worker who wakes up in the body of a five-year-old boy in a far-away land, the eighth son of a farming family. Oh, and he can use magic.
The light novel series, which ran from 2013 to 2017, was written by Y.A. and illustrated by Fuzichoco. It’s also received a manga adaptation by Hiroki Kusumoto and a drama CD.
