Whether you’re into the idea or not, the “Pikachu talks” train has left the station. The most recognizable Pokémon will be voiced by Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie, but ahead of that we get to sample his gruff voice (not Reynolds, sadly) in the 3DS game.
You can hear it for yourself in the new “Crack the Case!” trailer, which shows off some of the mystery game’s characters and features.
Detective Pikachu hits Nintendo 3DS on March 23.
