Virtual Boy: The Master of Blasting

Phew, it’s been a while since I did one of these, but those that have been here a while know the drill. It’s Monday, and Nintendo is offering up more downloads for their various platforms. You know the Virtual Console has something hot to offer up if it makes the top of the week’s list, as that’s usually reserved for WiiWare or DSiWare titles. Not so this week, because topping it all is Sunsoft’s NES classic, Blaster Master.

If ever there was a title begging for some form of remake, not unlike what Bionic Commando received in the form of Rearmed, it’s this. For now, be content with the ability to relive the fairly tough platformer, or maybe even try it out for the first time. Just remember: be patient! If it all seems a bit too archaic for you, you can always step up a visual notch with Earthworm Jim 2.

Now for the rest of this week’s list. On DSiWare we have LITTLEST PET SHOP, Miami Nights, Bejeweled Twist, Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam, and Master of Illusion Express: Matchmaker.

Four titles are also appearing on WiiWare: Stunt Cars, Diatomic, Moki Moki, and Rubik’s Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH.
