55th Volume of Naruto is the 11th to Top Oricon Charts

Making its debut on April 21, the 55th volume of Masashi Kishimoto’s mega-hit Naruto has officially hit #1 on Oricon’s weekly comic ranking charts. This makes it the 11th Naruto volume to pull off such a feat.

The numbers for the volume during the week of April 18-24 totaled up to 650,587 copies sold. Though Kishimoto’s manga debuted in 1999, Oricon has only been posting is book sales charts since 2008. Who knows what staggering number we’d be dealing with if they’d been rocking these lists longer.
