April 28, 2011 Dark Horse Comics have just launched their own digital iOS comics app, which means… manga is on its way as well! Actually, there’s already some on the service, as they’ve added volumes of Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima’s classic manga, Lone Wolf & Cub.
The app’s main site is here, and the app itself is available as a free download in Apple’s iTunes Store. Dark Horse are still working on development of a native Android version of the app, but those without an Apple device to view comics on can also use any modern web browser.
There are a bunch of comics being offered for free in celebration of the launch, none of which are manga. Still, the app definitely has future potential as a new way to read Japanese comics published by Dark Horse.
