3DCG Crayon Shin-chan Movie Trailer Has Bras and Butts

The upcoming Crayon Shin-chan movie Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie Chōnōryoku Dai Kessen: Tobetobe Temakizushi (translated as New Dimension! Crayon Shin-chan the Movie Super-Powered Climactic Battle: Soaring Hand-Rolled Sushi) has dropped a trailer. In it you can see Shin-chan wear a bra over his eyes and shake his butt around, along with both footage from his original pilot movie and footage for the new one.

While Shin-chan has accomplished an amazing amount of manga volumes and anime adaptations (this is his 31st movie!), he’s still just a crude little kid. This is the first time Shin-chan will get a 3DCG anime movie. The trailer also lets us know that the movie will hit Japanese theaters on August 4.

The movie has a tagline: “Saying stuff like ‘There’s no future for this country’ … that’s a myth of grown-ups.”

The movie is being animated by Shirogumi Inc., and Hitoshi Ōne helms the project as both the director and scriptwriter. Seven years passed between the beginning stages to the finishing of the film.

The last Shin-chan movie was titled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden and came out in spring 2022.

The manga has been licensed by One Peace Books, and they can be bought digitally. Here is the description for the plot of the first volume:

Crayon Shinchan features a pint-sized terror who is a rude little dude that stands back-to-back with such contemporaries as the kids of South Park. So be warned, this hilarious romp isn’t for children; instead, Crayon Shinchan is an adult, tongue-in-cheek poke at modern domestic life. Crayon Shinchan is an international cultural phenomenon and one of the best-selling Japanese manga franchises of all time. The animated version previously aired on Adult Swim and is back in print! Now readers can enjoy it from the beginning in a new, consolidated format made up of three volumes.”
