2nd Code Geass: Akito the Exiled OVA Teased

The second part of the Code Geass side-story OVA, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, is set to premiere in Japan on September 14, and the official website started streaming a brief teaser for the anime.

The OVA takes place in Revolution Year 228, coinciding with Lelouch starting to build his Black Knights rebellion army. The story focuses on the Holy Britannian Empire’s invasion of the Euro Universe using the “Wyvern” Knightmare corps, which are comprised entirely of Japanese teenagers. Akito Hyuuga—played by Miyu Irino (Haru in tsuritama, Sena in Eyeshield 21)—and the rest of the corps are thrown into battle with a slim chance of survival.

Akito the Exiled is directed by Kazuki Akane (Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Vision of Escaflowne), who wrote the script with Miya Asakawa (Turn A Gundam, Polar Bear’s Café).
