Sonic X Shadow Generations Getting Movie Pack with Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves got cast to play Shadow in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which will hit theaters on December 20. But that’s not all he’s doing for the franchise. Reeves is also voicing Shadow in the Sonic X Shadow Generations game through the “Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack.” Scenes from the movie will influence what’s going on in the Pack.

The three-episode web series Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings acts as a prologue for the game.

Sonic X Shadow Generations will come out on October 25, and people will be able to play it via Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, as well as PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The “Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack” becomes available on December 12, eight days before the movie makes it to the big screen.

In the latest Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Reeves will be joining Ben Schwartz as Sonic, James Mardsen as Sheriff Tom Wachowski, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.

Paramount gave this description for the original Sonic the Hedgehog movie:

Sonic the Hedgehog Plot

The world needed a hero, we got a hedgehog. Powered with incredible speed, Sonic The Hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz), aka The Blue Blur, embraces his new home on Earth. That is, until he accidentally knocks out the power grid and sparks the attention of super-uncool evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Now it’s super-villain vs. super-sonic in an all-out race across the globe to stop Robotnik from using Sonic’s unique power for world domination. Sonic teams up with The Donut Lord, aka Sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden), to save the planet in this live-action adventure comedy that’s fun for the whole family.
