Plus-Sized Elf Officially Joins Forces with Japan French Fries Association

plus-sized elf

The Japan French Fries Association has found a perfect partner in the soon-to-debut anime Plus-Sized Elf. French fry-loving character Elfuda has been dubbed a “support ambassador” for the association, as seen on this visual.

That’s not all, though. Ayasa Ito, who plays Elfuda, is going to be a guest judge for the recipe competition at the Japan French Fries Championship 2024 on June 29.

There is also news on the ending theme song “Minna DE Diet” (translated as “Everybody Diet”): Demo Tabe-tai (translated as “But I Want to Eat It Squad”) will perform it. It consists of characters in the anime, with voice credits as follows: Ayasa Ito plays Elfuda, Rena Hasegawa plays Kuroeda, Ayaka Fukuhara plays Olga, Miyu Kubota plays Kusahanada, Sora Tokui plays Melo, Madoka Asahina plays Laika, Aya Uchida plays Akiho Ino and Oku, Kotori Koiwai plays Kobo, Yuka Iguchi plays Satero, Kaori Maeda plays Honeda, Aino Shimada plays Gonda, and Mikoi Sasaki plays Hitome.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the original manga by Synecdoche and gave this description for its plot:

Be sure to check out the brand-new anime premiering in 2024! The story of an elf struggling to lose weight after she discovered human French fries! And don’t miss the sequel manga series (also from Seven Seas), Plus-Sized Elf: Super Sized!

Naoe-kun, a massage therapist, is about to head home for the day when he’s saddled with a rather strange patient. This lovely lady has emerald eyes, pointy ears, and grew up in the forest–everything about her screams “elf,” except for one thing: her bodacious body. It turns out she left her world but loves junk food in this one, and now her obsession has caught up with her. Can Naoe-kun help this lovable elf girl lose the weight–and keep it off?

HIDIVE is set to stream the anime.
