Collab Art Pays Tribute to Late Manga-ka Cocoa Fujiwara

Collab Art Pays Tribute to Late Manga-ka Cocoa FujiwaraCocoa Fujiwara, the manga creator who passed away in 2015, was the creator of popular stories like Dear, Inu x Boku SS and and The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies, which is the subject of an upcoming anime series.

A new piece of art released today pays tribute to Fujiwara by bringing Inu x Boku and The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies together, featuring leads Ririchiyo Shirakiin and Byakuya Mimori side by side. The piece was illustrated by Haruko Iizuka, who did the character designs for both anime series.

The anime adaptation of The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies is set to hit screens in July. The manga is set to be released by Yen Press this August. Here’s how they describe it:

She’s a magical girl, sworn to fight for peace, love, and justice. He’s a lieutenant, born into a military family that serves an evil empire. And yet, it was love at first sight… From Inu x Boku SS creator Cocoa Fujiwara comes a four-panel comic about hostile enemies who won’t kill (and love) each other!
