From Gosho Aoyama—the creator of Case Closed, the long-running saga of pint-size detective Conan Edogawa—comes YAIBA: Samurai Legend. The original manga predated the arrival of Conan, and now it has a brand new anime adaptation that you can start streaming today!

The story of YAIBA: Samurai Legend follows Yaiba, a young samurai who aims to challenge any evil entities who would dare threaten his world. He has other problems on his plate, however, including adjusting to life in the city after growing up in the jungle.

Thanks to his father’s connections, he ends up staying with the Mine family in the city, constantly baffling their daughter, Sayaka, with his wild ways. It isn’t long before he finds a true rival in the form of kendo expert Takeshi Onimaru. Their constant clashes end up unleashing the power of Fujinken, the Wind God’s Sword, and Raijinken, the Thunder God’s Sword. What is the truth behind these supernatural blades, and why have they reawakened?

There are two ways you can find out the answer to that and many other questions! VIZ Media has the first volume of Gosho Aoyama’s manga set to hit shelves this July, and you can catch the anime adaptation from WIT Studio on Netflix and Hulu in the United States right now.
