June 21, 2010 It took a while for Otakon to come out with details regarding musical performances, but the wait was no doubt worth it for fans of X Japan. Otakon recently announced that members Yoshiki and Sugizo will be appearing to perform during this year’s Masquerade.
Barring a ten year period of group inactivity, X Japan has been in the game in one form or another since 1982. Yoshiki is one of the founding members.
Their performance comes in the form of a “brief, intimate, acoustic set,” taking place a week prior to X Japan’s full-on appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago. In addition to the music, Masquerade will also feature a moderated Q&A session with the rockers.
