With You and the Rain is being made at Lesprit, with Tomohiro Tsukimisato of Bikkuri-Men and Tanuki to Kitsune helming the project as director. The person handling the series scripts is Touko Machida, known for working on 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life. Credit for character design goes to Ayano Ōwada, whose credits include How Clumsy you are, Miss Ueno.
The original manga by Ko Nikaido is available in America through Kodansha Publishing USA, which publishes it as a digital-only title. Kodansha gave this description for the story:
With You and the Rain Plot
If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!
The manga got its start in the pages of Young Magazine back in late summer 2020.
