Who’s ready to see the fourth and last season of Dr. STONE, a.k.a. Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE? A new trailer for it has dropped, and it announces that new episodes will begin on January 9, 2025. It also lets us know more about the opening and ending songs, and shares a clip of the opening. The opening theme song is titled “CASANOVA POSSE” and performed by ALI; meanwhile, the ending theme song is called “Rolling Stone” and performed by BREIMEN.

The new season is set to consist of three cours, and it will be streamed on Crunchyroll.
Some new actors have joined the cast: Kenji Nojima plays Dr. Xeno, and Koji Yusa plays Stanley Snyder.
The manga started in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2017, with the anime adaptation launching two years later. In 2021, the anime’s second season, Dr. STONE: Stone Wars, came out. This was followed by the special Dr. STONE: Ryusui in 2022.
2023 brought us the third season, called Dr. STONE: New World.
Dr. STONE is also one of the select anime to make it on Toonami, and Crunchyroll has pushed to have the dubbed episode come out the same day as the subbed episode.
VIZ Media has published the entire Dr. STONE manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, and gave this description for the first volume:

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
