The reboots and revivals keep on comin’, even though this one has been talked about in different ways for quite some time now.
Word of the seemingly inevitable Voltron revival has survived tumultuous legal battles, and has since transformed from film to dark OVA and ultimately back to the state in which it all began in the first place: television. According to Variety (link below), the combining robot madness will return in the form of a new 26-episode series, due to air sometime next year.
Produced by WEP and Classic Media alongside Kickstart Productions (Wolverine and the X-Men), Voltron Force is set to run on Nicktoons in 2011. Perhaps even more crucial is the accompanying toy line Mattel plans to launch at the same time. After all, what good is a giant robot series, especially the iconic Voltron, without the toys?
